MAYBE WE NEED TO LISTEN TO MICHAEL’S ‘CHILDHOOD’

Michael once said that this song

meant more to him than any of the others that he had written

because it was the most honest and autobiographical about him.

Dare we really listen…..

“Childhood”

written and produced by Michael Jackson

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for the world that I come from
‘Cause I’ve been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart…
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities…
‘Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me…

People say I’m not okay
‘Cause I love such elementary things…
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I’ve never known…

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne…

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

People say I’m strange that way
‘Cause I love such elementary things,
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood I’ve never known…

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
The dreams I would dare, watch me fly…

Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I’ve had

Have you seen my Childhood…

Where’s The Criticism Now?

June24, 2009

Gary Bauer writes in his ‘End of Day Report’….

CNS News reports that President Obama has gone on at least 11 golf outings in the five months he has been in office. These trips were made in the midst of an ongoing economic crisis that Obama has called “the worst since the Great Depression,” wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and a democratic uprising in Iran. The media have been enthralled by these outings, and have written favorable stories on Obama’s golf game. I don’t begrudge the president time away from the office, but the media’s treatment of Obama stands in stark contrast to the shabby treatment George W. Bush received when he took similar breaks

Throughout Bush’s presidency the media wrote stories attacking him for any vacation or golf outing while American forces were fighting abroad. Mike Allen from the Washington Post wrote a story titled, “Before Golf, Bush Decries Latest Deaths in Mideast.” In the story Allen wrote, “However incongruous the setting, the president plunged ahead.”

Two weeks ago, the same paper carried a story titled, “Just the Sport for a Leader Most Driven,” (good grief!) by Richard Leiby. He wrote, “The attraction seems to be simple. It’s a great escape; the game demands such attention and nothing else matters. It’s time spent with friends, an unhurried afternoon in loose clothing (shorts seem to be Obama’s preference). To some, Obama’s frequent outings reflect a cool self-confidence.” The sharpest criticism Obama received from this story might have been about his wardrobe.

Once again, the liberal media bias is on full display. And in case you forgot, ABC’s infomercial for Obama’s socialized healthcare scheme is on tonight. I can’t think of a better time to take our dog for a walk

Palin to Visit Alaska Troops Overseas

June 24, 2009, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin and Alaska Army National Guard officials are visiting Alaskan soldiers who are serving overseas. Palin will make hospital visits, attend promotion ceremonies and observe training exercises through the weekend.

Federal clearance was received for Governor Palin, Alaska Adjutant General Craig Campbell and Alaska Command Sergeant Major Gordon Choate to travel for the Alaska National Guard visit.

“These troops are our fellow Alaskans,” Governor Palin said. “They are making major sacrifices for all of us. General Campbell and I will show our support and appreciation for our troops on behalf of all the people of Alaska.”

“It is critical for the families that we give them as much information as possible to lessen the worry and build strength at home,” said Lt. Gen. (AK) Craig E. Campbell, Adjutant General of the Alaska National Guard. “When the family is strong, the soldier is strong and the mission is completed with a high degree of success.”

The U.S. Department of Defense has requested that no additional details of Governor Palin’s travel plans be released at this time for security reasons.

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OVERTURE TO KHAMENEI RIDICULED IN SERMON

Did we know that Obama had sent a letter to the ayatollah before their elections?  Was this part of Obama’s ‘hot dog’ diplomacy? The Islamic Republic is directly responsible for the deaths of US soldiers in Iraq.  It is responsible for the deaths of its own citizens this very day.

This is disgusting!

Barbara Slavin went On The Record with Greta tonight and mentioned this….

EXCLUSIVE: U.S. contacted Iran’s ayatollah before election

Ayatollah Khamenei confirmed the letter toward the end of a lengthy sermon last week, in which he accused the United States of fomenting protests in his country in the aftermath of the disputed June 12 presidential election. (read more)
