Today, the whole world watched as 29 souls were eulogized and remembered the old fashioned West Virginia way.  The name of Jesus Christ was lifted on high because in West Virginia not only do the people cling to their guns and bibles but they truly love the Lord.  From the opening to the closing of the service, 2 things were clear about the these precious 29 lives – they loved their God and their Country.  It was an inspiring experience.  President Obama got an ear full of God and country today.

The Program:

  • Posting of the Colors
  • National Anthem
  • Opening Prayer (Rev. Mike Pollard was powerful – it was as though he put Jesus right in Obama’s face)
  • Welcome: Gov. Joe Manchin III
  • Greeting
  • Musical Selection
  • Scripture Reading
  • Remarks: West Virginia’s Congressional Delegation
  • Musical Selection
