Glenn Beck Accomplishes What Oprah and Shirley MacLaine Together Could Not Accomplish – Set The Stage For “Christians” To Accept Paganism

He Has Set The Stage For A ‘One-World Religion

It is important for me to keep stating that I am an avid fan of Glenn Beck’s from the time he joined FOX Cable News station in January 2009.  I have watched every show he has done and have agreed with most of what he has presented.  He has done a fantastic job on U.S. history and blasting Obama and commies who surround him.

I did not go to the Honor Rally but I watched it and the Divine Destiny program from The Kennedy Center.  I have had pain in my stomach ever since Glenn began to morph into a spiritual teacher. History teacher – YES, but spiritual teacher?- NO.

Glenn is a Mormon but he uses Christian terminology in his programs.  Listening to him you get the impression that he is a Christian.  Each time he does it I get a sick feeling. He’s becoming like the New  Age gurus, Oprah and Shirley MacLaine, all wrapped up into one!

We want Glenn to continue to do well.  We need his voice to keep the Obama administration in check.  He is very gifted as we all have seen.  But lately, something has happened.  He is bringing more and more of his Mormon doctrine into his conversation mixed with Christianity and paganism.  This weekend did it for me.  The Restoring Honor Rally was bathed in Mormonism and paganism laced with Christianity.

We should ask Glenn to be more forthright when talking about his Mormon faith, for example, he should tell us what exactly are Mormon beliefs?

The following are a few of the major Mormons beliefs.  Since Glenn is a Mormon, maybe I should say,  the following are a few of Glenn Beck’s beliefs:

Mormon theology teaches:

* God was born and raised on another planet.

* He has a harem of wives.

* They produce spirit-babies that are sent to earth; there they gain bodies and earn sainthood.

* Jesus is the brother of Lucifer.

* Jesus is the chosen/elected savior by a council of gods from other worlds.

* America is the promised land, not Israel. The holy city is Independence, Missouri, not Jerusalem. Jesus’ latter-day agenda is to return to Missouri.

* The U.S. Constitution is as sacred as the Book of Mormon. In the latter days, it will be under siege and will be saved by Mormons. Thus, we must “reclaim America” to save the Constitution and usher in a genuine age of Mormon leadership. They want to build a Mormon kingdom on earth, similar to modern day Dominionists/Kingdom Now proponents within Christianity. Founder Joseph Smith had a socialistic philosophy and wished to have a society that shared things in common.

* America’s founding fathers were “spirit babies” who created a “sacred Constitution.”

* Salvation is works-based and not through grace and faith.

Did you know any of this??

So Glenn, Is the god of this system, this faith, the one you referred to when you stated, “Today, America turns back to God?” Is this god concept one we can turn back to?

The answer is no, this is not the God of the Judeo Christian faith and I know that most of the participants who attended the Restoring Honor rally are not aware of these facts. One of the problems we face in understanding what Glenn is saying when he talks about his faith is that in Mormonspeak the words mean entirely different things to the Mormon and the biblical Christian.

Here are 3 examples for you –

To the Mormon, God is an exalted man from another planet who is now the god of this world only and has a god above him who has a god above him who has…but understand that to the Christian, God is the creator of all, the heavens and the universes. He said there were no gods before Him, beside Him or after Him. I think He should know.

Same word, totally different meanings.

To the Christian, Jesus is the Word made Flesh, the Savior from before time began, conceived by the Holy Ghost.

To the Mormon, Jesus was born as a spirit being on a planet near the great star, Kolob, in an act of sex between their god and one of his many, polygamous goddesses. He was selected at a council of gods to be the ‘Savior’ of this world. He was chosen over his brother, Lucifer. The LDS god came down and had sex with his spirit daughter, Mary and begat him in the flesh.

Same word, totally different meanings.

To the Christian, Salvation is a result of Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross on Calvary, where He paid the penalty for our sins ‘once and for all.’ All we must do is receive it as a gift and eternal life is ours forever.

To the Mormon,
Salvation is two-fold, the first is only the General salvation, and it is the gift of physical resurrection for ALL mankind, given through Christ’s death at Calvary.

The second is Personal salvation that comes in part, through Christ’s suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, where LDS prophets say that He sweat great drops of blood for our sins, conditional on obedience to all the laws and ordinances of the [Latter Day Saints] gospel.  The Mormons call this suffering, Atonement, which we have heard Glenn mention quite frequently.

Same word, totally different meanings.

Beck’s Church claims that they have the only authority to act in the name of God on earth, all other churches are abominations in God’s eyes, all those who profess the doctrines of orthodox Christianity are corrupt, all their pastors are hirelings of Satan.

You see, Glenn, you told us to question with boldness, so what are you really trying to do?

I know one thing, what you did over the weekend has caused a great schism in the Evangelical world.

As I stated in the beginning of this post, even Oprah and Shirley MacLaine have not been able to do what you did.

You can lead us in the political and historical arenas with the full support of authentic, bible believing Christians but when you mix these areas with spiritual matters, that’s where the rubber meets the road for authentic, bible believing Christians.  We cannot and will not support you in spiritual matters.

Not unless and until you leave the Mormon Church.

Yesterday, Howse invited Todd Friel to his radio program to discuss Glenn’s Honor Rally and the Divine Destiny presentation at The Kennedy Center.  When I read Howse’s piece and listened to his discussion with Friel, I had even more discomfort.  But little did I know that my pastor, Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer, of The Moody Church of Chicago, had been invited to join in the talk also.  That was comforting to me and helped me to make the decision to post this information on my blog.

This information will disturb you greatly if you are one of Glenn’s fans but it is best for him that this information gets out.  If enough of us, who follow Glenn’s programs, can get this information to others and pray for him and his spiritual condition, what a blessing that will be!  I believe it’s possible for Glenn to leave the Mormon church and to continue in the role of leader of today’s Black Regiment, bringing people back to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That’s the only way that he will be successful in this endeavor.  The one true God will not stand by and be mocked by anyone.  I know, this past weekend’s crowd looks as though he could not be more successful.  It was remarkable that a crowd of that size would show up!  People are hungry and desperate for the truth and for help to get rid of Barack Obama and to restore this great country. They came innocently to hear the man they watch and listen to everyday.  Sadly, many of them did not recognize or discern the danger they had encountered.

Worldview Matters with Brannon Howse

Topic One: Beck starts rally with Mormon theology that Native Americans are God’s chosen people.

Topic Two: Beck used the phrase “higher self” three times in the interview with Chris Wallace. No one talks that way unless they know exactly what they are saying. What was Beck talking about and how does it connect with his statement last week when he said “I Am That I Am is the most powerful phrase in any language as it is the name of god, never use it in vain; use it to create who you want to be. I am blank.”

Topic Three: Beck tells Chris Wallace that he is a Mormon and describes the Mormon theology of salvation.

Topic Four: Dr. Erwin Lutzer predicted, at our Branson 2010 Worldview Weekend, that the conservative media would turn on Biblical Christians that stand for Biblical truth. That turning began with Glenn Beck himself last Friday when he used the term religious bigots when talking about a CNN article that quoted Brannon Howse and another Christian writer on why they could not spiritually unite with Glenn Beck. That turning continued today with a conservative talk show host that is a frequent face on Fox News Channel who reportedly railed on evangelicals for not uniting with Beck. We play the clip of Dr. Erwin Lutzer and his warning from last April as he explains how this turning on Bible obedient Christians will resemble what happen in another country and at another time. Watch it to greatly increase.

Topic Five: Beck has set the stage for “conservatives” to accept a one-world religion and numerous leaders of the religious right pulled the ropes that raised the curtain on this ecumenical stage. Glenn Beck has accomplished what Oprah Winfrey or Shirley McClain could not. I believe that Beck used his conservative veneer and doublespeak to co-opt leaders of the religious right. Beck and these evangelical leaders have sent the message that it is acceptable for millions of “Christians” to embrace humanistic spirituality and paganism for the purpose of social activism and social change. Martin Luther King, Jr., Glenn Beck, And Al Sharpton

Yesterday was the 47th Anniversary of the “I Have A Dream” speech that Dr. King gave on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

As you know, there were 2 rallies yesterday in  Washington, D.C.  Glenn Beck’s rally was called, ‘Restoring Honor’, and Al Sharpton’s was called, ‘Reclaim The Dream’,

Beck’s rally was held to raise funds to support the Wounded Soldier’s Project and Sharpton’s rally was a tribute to the 47th anniversary of Dr. King’s “I Have A Dream” speech.

I have posted a photo of  each of these events held in our nation’s capitol yesterday.  Can you tell what’s wrong with each of these groups?  Remember, this is 47 years after Dr. King gave the iconic speech in the same city and in the same or near the same (in regards to Sharpton’s group) location.

Have you figured out what the problem is with these two groups?  You are right.  One is too White and one is too Black.  And this took place on the 47th anniversary day of Martin Luther King Jr.’s I Have A Dream speech day.

Glenn Beck should have stayed with the 9/12 Project theme and held the rally the day after this 9/11 commemoration.  It would have been more pleasing to many of us.  As it turned out, it appeared as though Beck and Sharpton were dueling.  It left a bad taste in my mouth except the Wounded Soldiers will benefit from this and that’s a good thing.

It’s appalling and I blame President Barack Obama for the deterioration in race relations in America in 2010.  He has pushed the racial rhetoric to the point where we now have segregated rallies on a day that commemorates a man of peace and brotherhood.  We have to do better and we can do better.

If you want to see and hear the real deal, watch the famous speech given by Dr. King and look at the ‘Salt and Pepper’ flavor of that group.

God help us and continue to bless our country.

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves, who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity. But one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacle of segregation and the chains of discrimination.

One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languish in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land So we’ve come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we’ve come to our Nation’s Capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir.

This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked “insufficient funds.”

But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. So we have come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

Biblical Christians, Beware Of Spiritual Gatherings In Name Of Unity With Glenn Beck!

(This is not a knock against Glenn’s work on our Constitution, the economy, Marxism, and the history of our nation.  Excellent work!  This is about biblical, spiritual, theological issue only.)

Following Glenn Beck’s Divine Destiny or God’s Word

Would you approve or disapprove if some of America’s evangelical pastors and religious leaders announced they were going to show up at “Oprah’s Divine Destiny” meeting at the Kennedy Center for an evening that would include uplifting music and nationally-known religious figures from all faiths as they unite in prayer and recite historical speeches? Would it concern you if you knew that on her radio program Oprah has taught the book called A Course in Miracles written by Helen Schucman? This book and the workbook include such quotes as:

“A slain Christ has no meaning.”
“The recognition of God is the recognition of yourself.”
“Do not make the pathetic error of ‘clinging to the old rugged cross’.”
“My salvation comes from me.”

True Bible-believing Christians would not approve of evangelical pastors and leaders uniting with Oprah in a self-described, religious and spiritual meeting. Why? Because most Biblically thinking Christians do not agree with Oprah’s liberal politics and they know that the truth of God’s Word and Oprah’s pagan spirituality do not mix.

However, many of these same Christians will have no problem when some of America’s evangelical pastors join radio personality and television host Glenn Beck for a spiritual program, because unlike Oprah, they share Beck’s conservative, political views. To many it makes no matter that Beck is a self-described Mormon because his political views trump his religious views and for this reason many will justify taking part in “Glenn Becks Divine Destiny” program at the Kennedy Center on August 27th.

The Apostle Paul warns Christians against uniting with unbelievers in spiritual endeavors in 2 Corinthians 6:14 where we read, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” In verse 16 Paul declares that Christians must be spiritually separate from non-believers. Remember Paul is talking about being spiritually separate. “Glenn Beck’s Divine Destiny” program at the Kennedy Center on Friday evening August 27, 2010 has been specifically described by organizers as “a unique spiritual event.”

While I applaud and agree with many of Glenn Beck’s conservative and constitutional views, that does not give me or any other Bible-believing Christian justification to compromise Biblical truth by spiritually joining Beck in an event, that according to his own website, will include an evening in which “nationally-known religious figures from all faiths will unite…”. The website continues “The audience for the event will be overwhelmingly made up of pastors, ministers and clergy…” The event is also described as an evening “that will help heal your soul.” This event is clearly a spiritual event with Glenn declaring on a video on his website that the hymn Eternal Father Strong to Save “is the message of 8/27”.  The problem is that as a Mormon, Glenn’s definition of God the Father is not the same as that described by Jesus Christ Himself in the Bible.

Glenn says, “I have been reaching out to the biggest names in faith for the last year…I have met with the biggest leaders of faith in the country privately and I have asked them to help me put differences aside and to reach out with one another so we can remind people to get down on their knees for our brethren’s shield in our dangerous hour.”

Christians that want to be committed to Biblical truth cannot “put aside” the cross and Gospel of Jesus Christ nor the supremacy of Scripture by spiritually uniting with those that proclaim another Jesus, another gospel and declare the cross foolishness.

Many  American Christians will allow their commitment to reclaiming the country, reclaiming Congress, lowering taxes, and defeating the progressives trump their commitment to the Biblical mandate declared in 2 Corinthians 6 as well as the mandate of 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 which commands Christians to expose every high and lofty thing lifted up against the principles of the Lord.

American Christians should not and cannot rate our success on whether or not we return our country and culture to its Christian roots. Our success or failure must be based on whether or not we have been faithful servants of the one and only true God and have earnestly contended for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 3).

We appreciate the strong and courageous stands that Glenn has taken but Christians must understand that Glenn is now, by his own choice, promoting something that is not compatible with Biblical Christian doctrines. While Christians can join Glenn in opposing tyranny, socialism, cultural Marxism, and the like; we cannot join him spiritually. We can be co-belligerents on many moral issues with non-Christians but we cannot find common ground theologically, doctrinally, and spiritually. This is not according to me, Brannon Howse, but according to the Word of God. Christians must understand that the Jesus of the cults is not the Jesus of the Bible.

Please remember that I started the website www.keepglennbeck.com to support Glenn when the radicals wanted his advertisers to stop advertising in his program because at the time he was not promoting spirituality but simply providing excellent information about what was happening in the arena of civil government and law. However, Glenn has now moved into an area where we must draw a clear line theologically, doctrinally and spiritually.

I have yet to see anything that would cause me to have a problem with the 8-28 event at the Lincoln Memorial because I have not seen that event described as a “spiritual event” or a “uniting of all faiths” for the purpose of “healing your soul.” If that is what it becomes then I will be equally opposed to the 8-28 event. My concern is really focused on the 8/27 event for the reasons I have articulated.

Some misinformed Christians have e-mailed me Mark 9:38-41 to try and convince me that partnering with Glenn Beck for a “unique spiritual event” is acceptable Biblically even if Glenn Beck is not a Christian, but indeed a Mormon by his own admission. Verse 40 says “For he who is not against us is on our side.” There is just one big problem; the people emailing me this verse are taking this scripture completely out of context. Mark 9 is not speaking of a non-Christian that is doing something good but it is clearly speaking of a true follower of Jesus Christ that was successful in casting out a demon.

If you do not think it is Biblically acceptable for a Biblically committed Christian to be united in a spiritual event with Oprah Winfrey then why is it not also unacceptable to unite spiritually in the 8/27 event with Glenn Beck or any other religious leaders that do not adhere to Biblical orthodoxy? How much different are the religious beliefs of Oprah and the beliefs of Mormons? Christian author Ed Decker who was a Mormon for 20 years of his adult life and was a member of the Melchizedek priesthood, a Temple Mormon and active in many church positions before becoming a Christian has revealed to me such facts as:

  • Mormons believe the cross of Christ is foolishness and thus you will not find a cross in or on top of a Mormon temple.  Thus a Mormon could say “Do not make the pathetic error of ‘clinging to the old rugged cross’.”

  • Mormons believe the blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross is not what saves and thus Mormons will not use red wine or red juice for communion but they use water. Thus a Mormon could say “A slain Christ has no meaning.”

  • Mormons believe that salvation is not found in placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone but in good works.  Thus a Mormon could say “My salvation comes from me.”

  • Mormons believe that God is one of many Gods and that every good Mormon man can become a God himself. This belief is called the law of eternal progression and is best described in this popular Mormon saying, “As man is, God once was, and as God is, man may become.” Thus a Mormon could say that “The recognition of God is the recognition of yourself.”

Do these pastors and Christian leaders not understand that by appearing on stage at this “unique spiritual event” they are sending the message that Biblical Christianity and Mormonism (and any other unbiblical worldview represented) can indeed find spiritual common ground? This is not only a public relations victory for Mormonism but also for universalism.

According to the LDS General Authority and President of the Council of the Twelve, Ezra Taft Benson, the LDS doctrine is that the living prophet is above the scripture.[1]  I would humbly plead with those Christians taking part in this spiritual event to not put their own personal desires and agenda above the scripture.

Christians e-mail me to tell me that Glenn Beck uses Christian terms and thus he must be a Christian. Indeed Mormons, as well as New Agers, use many of the same terms that Bible believing Christians use but their definitions of those terms are in direct opposition to the Biblical definitions.

Christians also e-mail me to tell me that they heard Glenn Beck give the gospel on his television program one night. I watched that program and Glenn clearly stated that he had called Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention to have Land explain to Glenn the gospel message according to evangelicals so Glenn could contrast it with the collective salvation of President Obama. Glenn provided this contrast; he did not state that he had rejected Mormonism for the truth of the Biblical gospel.

It is not Biblically acceptable for Christians to join Oprah for “a unique spiritual event” and it is equally not Biblical for Christians to join Glenn Beck for “a unique spiritual event.” I do however urge all Christians to pray for Oprah and Glenn that they may indeed come to know the Jesus Christ of the Bible as their personal Lord and Savior. (John 14:6)

Millions of Christian families are watching to see who will have the Biblical discernment and courage to be obedient to God and His Word in which He has clearly revealed His will for us concerning this matter. My heart grieves for the teenagers, college students, and spiritually immature Christians that will be confused and even led astray by this co-mingling of spiritual worldviews.

Do not be shocked, pastors and Christian leaders, when your personal appearance and endorsement of this spiritually pluralistic event increase the already rising numbers of young people leaving evangelical churches to join the Mormon Church. Neither be surprised, my friends, when discerning Christians are leery of your future work because of your betrayal of clear Biblical instruction on this very issue. I want your testimony and credibility preserved and beg you to graciously cancel your participation in this “spiritual event”.

I have received numerous e-mails from former Mormons who understand the seriousness of this issue. Here is one such e-mail:

I was a tenured professor at Brigham Young University from 1999-2008, a dug-in Mormon for 30 years. Christ drew me and I went face down in surrender to the Biblical Christ, now a strong Christian. As former Mormon leaders, my husband and I have been speaking to Christians about Glenn Beck for some time and are shocked at the resistance we hear from Christians who don’t seem to understand the gravity of this false and slippery “christ” of Mormonism.

The late Vance Havner was correct when he declared:

The devil is not fighting religion; he is too smart for that. He is producing a counterfeit Christianity so much like the real one that good Christians are afraid to speak out against it.

As long ago as 1898, Abraham Kuyper warned in the Stone Lectures at Princeton:

Do not forget that the fundamental contrast has always been, is still and always will be until the end; Christianity and Paganism, the idols and the living God.

I pray that America’s Christians and pastors will understand that there is an unbiblical and dangerous spiritual convergence taking place throughout the nation and the world and today is the day to choose whether you will uncompromisingly stand for the living God or give creditability to pagan spirituality.

In I Kings 18:20-21 Elijah declared to the Children of Israel, who were seeking to follow God while also mixing their worship of God with pagan spirituality, that they must choose to whom they would pledge their allegiance. Elijah asked the Israelites “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.”

Yes, I would like to see the progressives defeated and the original intent of America’s Founding Fathers restored, but that certainly will not happen if the true Bride of Christ compromises on Biblical truth.

This is no time to be committed to pragmatism because the end does not justify the means. The means simply declares our priorities and Whom we really serve.

George W. And Laura Surprise Our Troops Again

George and Laura surprised our wounded soldiers at Fort Hood

They welcomed returning troops from Iraq at USO in Dallas/Fort Worth

This past Sunday, August 22, 2010, they surprised participants in the third annual “Run for the Fallen”.

Dozens of runners took part in the event to honor the 65 military men and women who have died overseas since 2001.  When the run was over, everyone gathered at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth for a lobster bake.  They were pleasantly surprised with a visit from former President George W. and First Lady Laura Bush.  They wanted to thank the runner and organizers for this tribute to the fallen soldiers.

CAPE ELIZABETH — Former President George W. Bush made a surprise appearance at the third annual Run for the Fallen Maine event on Sunday, Aug. 22; the run honors Maine servicemen and women who have given their lives defending the country since Sept. 11, 2001.

Bush showed up at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth at approximately 4:30 p.m., under drizzling weather.

He greeted runners as they finished the last leg of their 65-kilometer trek from Ogunquit to pay homage to Maine’s 65 “fallen heroes.”

Three-year event participant Nancy Lee Kelley said meeting the former president was “a dream come true.”

Kelley, a resident of Old Orchard Beach and mother of Army Capt. Christopher Cash, who died in Iraq on June 24, 2004, said this wasn’t the first time she had met Bush.

She first met the former president in a schoolhouse in Kennebunkport in August 2006, when he had agreed to meet with five Maine families who lost their children in the war on terror.

Kelley said she was in disbelief when Bush on late Sunday afternoon recalled the exact date and location of the moment they had first met.

“August 2006, Kennebunkport,” Bush told her matter-of-factly when he shook her hand, Kelley said.

After Kelley asked him with a mixture of shock and disbelief if he really remembered her, she said he replied, “Yep. I never forget.”

Ogunquit resident John Mixon, director and coordinator of the event, said Bush actually changed his vacation plans in Maine in order to attend the run.

Bush’s only request, according to Kelley, was to makes sure news organizations were not in attendance.

“It’s not a photo op for him,” Kelley said. “He does it from the heart.”

Event participant Donna Lewis said some people were “in tears” upon Bush’s arrival, and that for a “president who left office with a lot of people angry” about his handling of the war, his reception was warm and welcoming.

“He listened to everyone’s story and acted like it was the most important thing he’s done,” Lewis said.

The run started at Veterans Park in Ogunquit Center at 8 a.m. and continued all the way up Route 1 through Monument Square in Portland to Fort Williams. Participants enjoyed a free lobster bake in Fort Williams.

Mixon said it was hard keeping the former president’s arrival kept secret until the last minute, adding that this year’s turnout for the run was higher than ever before.

“We got to see firsthand what it meant to these families to have recognition that their child had not been forgotten,” said Lewis.

What a couple!

Holocaust Survivor Is Lastest Target Of ‘Islamicization’

The process is gradual … a culture comes to regard tolerance of Islamic religious practices as politically correct;  then the rest of Islam’s components begin creeping in.

This video is a perfect example of the point.  Obviously the mosque supporter has been conditioned by the Lie of Islam. Our subjugation to political correctness has made this possible, so much so in this case, that the mosque supporter has lost his respect for a man much older than he and he has no compassion or empathy for the startling information given him by the holocaust survivor.

The survivor tells the mosque supporter, “I love freedom, I’m a Holocaust Survivor!  I lived under Hitler!” That should have stopped the conversation.  Instead, it fueled it as we hear the mosque supported proclaim that the holocaust survivor had not learned his lesson!  WHAT!  WHAT LESSON?

This is frightening to me.  It should be to you also.  It demonstrates how far down the road we are to becoming Sharia friendly.  The profane anti-Semitism just spews from the mouth of the mosque supporter.

The mosque supporter has bought into the LIE OF ISLAM! Little does he know that the mosque he supports with vigor would be more than just a building … it represents a “system of life” – with religious, legal, political, social, economic and military components.

The bloodthirsty agenda of radical Islam could not be more opposite from American values and Judeo-Christian ethics!

Ed Schultz Has A MSNBC Meltdown

The obligatory “Ed Schultz allegedly flips out over something or other at MSNBC” post

I’m as surprised as you are. He’s always seemed like such a calm, mellow customer.

MSNBC talk show screamer Ed Schultz had a meltdown in the network’s 30 Rock newsroom, shouting at staff, “I’m going to torch this [bleep]ing place.”

A witness told us, “Ed was furious the network was running election-night promos and he wasn’t in them. He’d been arguing on the phone with marketing, then he slammed down the phone and exploded. It was like Mel Gibson had entered the newsroom.”…

Fuming Schultz was immediately dragged in for a meeting with NBC News President Steve Capus and MSNBC President Phil Griffin following his Aug. 12 meltdown.

Our source added, “Schultz was told: ‘If you do that again, you are fired.’ He broke down crying.”

Reasons to doubt that the story’s true: (1) It comes from Page Six, which of course trades in gossip and has a history of dueling with MSNBC hosts; (2) Two weeks between the alleged meltdown happening and news of it leaking out seems like a long lag time, no? (3) Could even Big Ed’s ego be so fragile that he’d react this way to not being given a two-second mention in a promo? That seems … well, actually, scratch that last one.

Any reason to think the story is true, apart from the traditional reports of infighting and personality clashes and even occasional on-air pissiness among the talent at the DNC’s favorite network? Actually, yeah. Here’s video from “Morning Joe” clipped by Inside Cable News back on August 13, the day after Schultz’s alleged tirade. ICN says Scarborough’s parting line struck him as inexplicable at the time — but not anymore. What a catch.

“It sounds like something Schultz would.  I find him quite entertaining.  I watch him sometimes late at night to just get a good hearty lol.  Just watching him rant just breaks me up!”

In an interview just minutes after learning federal prosecutors had dropped the case against him, Robert Blagojevich said his wife cried at the news.

“It’s stunning,” Robert Blagojevich said after receiving a text message and cell phone call from his lawyer, Michael Ettinger, informing him he was “free.”

“The government did the right thing,” Robert said. “They did the right thing.”

He said he and his wife, Julie, have called friends and they plan to go out for a steak dinner tonight.

Robert Blagojevich also said he plans to give his attorneys a “winners’ bonus” for their work.

“They deserve it,” he said.

Jon Stewart to Blagojevich on Daily Show: “I’d like to see you as a victim — but you make it so hard.”

The Rod Blagojevich media tour 2010 stopped at the Daily Show this evening and funnyman Jon Stewart goes hard at Blagojevich’s tough talk on TV.

Stewart tells Blagojevich he’d like to see him as a Dickens’ character. But …

“I’d like to see you as a victim — but you make it so hard,” Stewart says, dramatically lowering his head.

Blagojevich maintained that prosecutors lodged the loftiest of charges against him and still couldn’t convict him of corruption.
“They threw everything at me but the kitchen sink … everyone thought I was a scumbag around the world, right?” Blagojevich said. “That’s what I’m up against.”

Stewart played back a tape of Blagojevich from a year ago when he then tried to explain his words on tape: “I’ve got this thing and it’s f—ing golden.” In 2009, Blagojevich explains that in the next few words that prosecutors didn’t reveal at the time, he talks about health care for Illinois. But the now-released tape shows Blagojevich actually discussed
parachuting himself into the Senate seat spot and calling President Obama a “demigod.”

“The reality of what you said is very different,” Stewart says.

Blagojevich hems and haws as he tries to explain: “Listen to the whole tape.”

Stewart cuts him off: “Is this why you didn’t take the stand?” the audience laughs.

Stewart then continued to grill Blagojevich for promising to take the stand but failing to do so at his trial.

“Do you promise to take the stand the next time you’re indicted?” Stewart asks to many laughs.

If Rod Blagojevich wants to tap public money for the defense costs in his next trial, he’ll be limited to two lawyers.

Meanwhile, at least one defense lawyer in the case says he won’t be prepared for retrial until next year.

Rod Blagojevich had five lawyers who questioned witnesses for the last go-around, plus two more attorneys who acted as support throughout the case.

In a retrial though, he’ll only be able to have two if he wants public money, according to rules set out by the Criminal Justice Act. That act sets out the criteria for a defendant to tap public resources.

Former Federal Defender Terence F. MacCarthy said that U.S. District Judge James Zagel is bound by that act. It allows for one lawyer except in complicated cases or in death penalty cases.

“You can only have two lawyers in the courtroom,” MacCarthy said. “There’s a little wiggle room. If you’ve got someone doing a research project, you can wiggle room it in. But you cannot pay them for sitting in the courtroom.”

Sources have said that both Sam Adam Jr. and his father no longer want to be on the case. Their defense team has tapped the $2.8 million campaign fund that was paid out at $110 an hour for the last trial.

While prosecutors have publicly said they want to retry the case as quickly as possible (Prosecutor Reid Schar even suggested “tomorrow” last week), Michael Ettinger, attorney for Robert Blagojevich, said he has schedule conflicts that would keep him from redoing the case this year.

“I’m out until next year,” Ettinger said today.

Jurors in the trial of former governor Rod Blagojevich overwhelmingly wanted to send his brother home a free man — voting nine to three in favor of acquittal, one member of the jury said today. But the former governor “was lucky” that he wasn’t convicted on more counts, the juror said.

That juror, John Grover of Joliet, said in an interview this afternoon that prosecutors shouldn’t put the Robert Blagojevich through another trial.

“I sat there for days and days and days and days and never heard his name mentioned,” the disabled vet said.

The Clerk of court has just sent out this release, on behalf of U.S. District Judge James Zagel.

“It has come to the Court’s attention that certain jurors in the Blagojevich trial are calling and complaining about numerous phone calls from the media asking for interviews and visiting their homes. The United States Marshal has advised the jurors to call 911 to report the incidents.

Please keep in mind that some of these jurors simply do not wish to talk, and if they have not agreed to talk with you, we ask that you respect their privacy.”
