He Has Set The Stage For A ‘One-World Religion‘
It is important for me to keep stating that I am an avid fan of Glenn Beck’s from the time he joined FOX Cable News station in January 2009. I have watched every show he has done and have agreed with most of what he has presented. He has done a fantastic job on U.S. history and blasting Obama and commies who surround him.
I did not go to the Honor Rally but I watched it and the Divine Destiny program from The Kennedy Center. I have had pain in my stomach ever since Glenn began to morph into a spiritual teacher. History teacher – YES, but spiritual teacher?- NO.
Glenn is a Mormon but he uses Christian terminology in his programs. Listening to him you get the impression that he is a Christian. Each time he does it I get a sick feeling. He’s becoming like the New Age gurus, Oprah and Shirley MacLaine, all wrapped up into one!
We want Glenn to continue to do well. We need his voice to keep the Obama administration in check. He is very gifted as we all have seen. But lately, something has happened. He is bringing more and more of his Mormon doctrine into his conversation mixed with Christianity and paganism. This weekend did it for me. The Restoring Honor Rally was bathed in Mormonism and paganism laced with Christianity.
We should ask Glenn to be more forthright when talking about his Mormon faith, for example, he should tell us what exactly are Mormon beliefs?
The following are a few of the major Mormons beliefs. Since Glenn is a Mormon, maybe I should say, the following are a few of Glenn Beck’s beliefs:
* He has a harem of wives.
* They produce spirit-babies that are sent to earth; there they gain bodies and earn sainthood.
* Jesus is the brother of Lucifer.
* Jesus is the chosen/elected savior by a council of gods from other worlds.
* America is the promised land, not Israel. The holy city is Independence, Missouri, not Jerusalem. Jesus’ latter-day agenda is to return to Missouri.
* The U.S. Constitution is as sacred as the Book of Mormon. In the latter days, it will be under siege and will be saved by Mormons. Thus, we must “reclaim America” to save the Constitution and usher in a genuine age of Mormon leadership. They want to build a Mormon kingdom on earth, similar to modern day Dominionists/Kingdom Now proponents within Christianity. Founder Joseph Smith had a socialistic philosophy and wished to have a society that shared things in common.
* America’s founding fathers were “spirit babies” who created a “sacred Constitution.”
* Salvation is works-based and not through grace and faith.
So Glenn, Is the god of this system, this faith, the one you referred to when you stated, “Today, America turns back to God?” Is this god concept one we can turn back to?
The answer is no, this is not the God of the Judeo Christian faith and I know that most of the participants who attended the Restoring Honor rally are not aware of these facts. One of the problems we face in understanding what Glenn is saying when he talks about his faith is that in Mormonspeak the words mean entirely different things to the Mormon and the biblical Christian.
Here are 3 examples for you –
To the Mormon, God is an exalted man from another planet who is now the god of this world only and has a god above him who has a god above him who has…but understand that to the Christian, God is the creator of all, the heavens and the universes. He said there were no gods before Him, beside Him or after Him. I think He should know.
Same word, totally different meanings.
To the Christian, Jesus is the Word made Flesh, the Savior from before time began, conceived by the Holy Ghost.
To the Mormon, Jesus was born as a spirit being on a planet near the great star, Kolob, in an act of sex between their god and one of his many, polygamous goddesses. He was selected at a council of gods to be the ‘Savior’ of this world. He was chosen over his brother, Lucifer. The LDS god came down and had sex with his spirit daughter, Mary and begat him in the flesh.
Same word, totally different meanings.
To the Christian, Salvation is a result of Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross on Calvary, where He paid the penalty for our sins ‘once and for all.’ All we must do is receive it as a gift and eternal life is ours forever.
To the Mormon, Salvation is two-fold, the first is only the General salvation, and it is the gift of physical resurrection for ALL mankind, given through Christ’s death at Calvary.
The second is Personal salvation that comes in part, through Christ’s suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, where LDS prophets say that He sweat great drops of blood for our sins, conditional on obedience to all the laws and ordinances of the [Latter Day Saints] gospel. The Mormons call this suffering, Atonement, which we have heard Glenn mention quite frequently.
Same word, totally different meanings.
Beck’s Church claims that they have the only authority to act in the name of God on earth, all other churches are abominations in God’s eyes, all those who profess the doctrines of orthodox Christianity are corrupt, all their pastors are hirelings of Satan.
You see, Glenn, you told us to question with boldness, so what are you really trying to do?
I know one thing, what you did over the weekend has caused a great schism in the Evangelical world.
As I stated in the beginning of this post, even Oprah and Shirley MacLaine have not been able to do what you did.
You can lead us in the political and historical arenas with the full support of authentic, bible believing Christians but when you mix these areas with spiritual matters, that’s where the rubber meets the road for authentic, bible believing Christians. We cannot and will not support you in spiritual matters.
Not unless and until you leave the Mormon Church.
Brannon Howse has written several articles on this disturbing development. He has also featured the topic of Glenn’s Mormonism on his daily radio program.
Yesterday, Howse invited Todd Friel to his radio program to discuss Glenn’s Honor Rally and the Divine Destiny presentation at The Kennedy Center. When I read Howse’s piece and listened to his discussion with Friel, I had even more discomfort. But little did I know that my pastor, Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer, of The Moody Church of Chicago, had been invited to join in the talk also. That was comforting to me and helped me to make the decision to post this information on my blog.
This information will disturb you greatly if you are one of Glenn’s fans but it is best for him that this information gets out. If enough of us, who follow Glenn’s programs, can get this information to others and pray for him and his spiritual condition, what a blessing that will be! I believe it’s possible for Glenn to leave the Mormon church and to continue in the role of leader of today’s Black Regiment, bringing people back to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That’s the only way that he will be successful in this endeavor. The one true God will not stand by and be mocked by anyone. I know, this past weekend’s crowd looks as though he could not be more successful. It was remarkable that a crowd of that size would show up! People are hungry and desperate for the truth and for help to get rid of Barack Obama and to restore this great country. They came innocently to hear the man they watch and listen to everyday. Sadly, many of them did not recognize or discern the danger they had encountered.
I have said enough so here’s what you need to read and hear:

Brannon Howse welcomes guest Todd Friel of wretchedradio.com to discuss what took place at Glenn Becks 8-27 and 8-28 rallies. We play lots of sound bites of Glenn Beck in his own words.
Topic One: Beck starts rally with Mormon theology that Native Americans are God’s chosen people.
Topic Two: Beck used the phrase “higher self” three times in the interview with Chris Wallace. No one talks that way unless they know exactly what they are saying. What was Beck talking about and how does it connect with his statement last week when he said “I Am That I Am is the most powerful phrase in any language as it is the name of god, never use it in vain; use it to create who you want to be. I am blank.”
Topic Three: Beck tells Chris Wallace that he is a Mormon and describes the Mormon theology of salvation.
Topic Four: Dr. Erwin Lutzer predicted, at our Branson 2010 Worldview Weekend, that the conservative media would turn on Biblical Christians that stand for Biblical truth. That turning began with Glenn Beck himself last Friday when he used the term religious bigots when talking about a CNN article that quoted Brannon Howse and another Christian writer on why they could not spiritually unite with Glenn Beck. That turning continued today with a conservative talk show host that is a frequent face on Fox News Channel who reportedly railed on evangelicals for not uniting with Beck. We play the clip of Dr. Erwin Lutzer and his warning from last April as he explains how this turning on Bible obedient Christians will resemble what happen in another country and at another time. Watch it to greatly increase.
Topic Five: Beck has set the stage for “conservatives” to accept a one-world religion and numerous leaders of the religious right pulled the ropes that raised the curtain on this ecumenical stage. Glenn Beck has accomplished what Oprah Winfrey or Shirley McClain could not. I believe that Beck used his conservative veneer and doublespeak to co-opt leaders of the religious right. Beck and these evangelical leaders have sent the message that it is acceptable for millions of “Christians” to embrace humanistic spirituality and paganism for the purpose of social activism and social change.
