Helen Thomas: ‘Tell ’em to get the hell out of Palestine’

As we all know, Helen Thomas is a longtime member of the White House Press Corps. Helen sits front and center in the White House Press Room. She has literally become a permanent fixture in the room. She has been covering the White House throughout the terms of the last 10 presidents. Helen is 90 years old. Some of us have suspected where Helen stands on political issues for a long time but this past week our suspicions were confirmed.

In response to the Israeli Flotilla Incident that happened last Monday, May 31, 2010, Helen said this –

Helen, heed these words of wisdom.

President Obama Sets The Tone For The Nation

It is very important to say that Barack Obama is responsible for much of this vile, outright disgusting language and behavior we are witnessing toward Israel and our own country. No, I am not saying that Obama is responsible for every nut job but there is a certain amount of truth in the saying, ‘so goes the leader so goes the nation’. In Psalm 20 and Psalm 21, we can see the benefits of a nation having a Godly king, who makes sacrifices and offerings to God on behalf of his nation. The king (or in our case, the president) is seeking the best interests of the people he rules over or leads. It is amazing to consider that there was a time when our country’s leaders were motivated by spiritual and religious considerations. Many of the founding fathers not only believed in God but practiced their belief in their political decisions. Is it so much for us to ask today from our leaders!

Since President Obama took office, he has done nothing but denigrate, scold and apologize for our nation and lately, Israel as well. When he does this, he gives the green light to those who hate America and Israel and wish to do harm to both nations. The terrorists, the anti-America types and the anti-semites feel emboldened by his negative and destructive rhetoric. They feel now is the time to strike and lash out at us because they know Obama will stand by and do nothing about it.

When George W. was in the White House, this did not go on to the extent it is today. The one thing that everyone understood and believed was that President Bush loved his country. Israel also felt safe with him. They knew they could trust his word. That is not happening today. We have all heard Obama speak in the negative toward Israel and we have certainly witnessed his rudeness toward Prime Minister Netanyahu. This is why we have the Israeli/Gaza Flotilla incident and Helen Thomas coming out of the closet! Yes, it is partly Obama’s fault. He recently joined in with the ‘condemn Israel’ crowd by saying that the Gaza blockade is unsustainable. This is outrageous and unacceptable!

We should desire to see men and women who are seeking after God. While we may not find those who are doctrinally accurate concerning many areas of the scriptures, we should at the very least long for people who will make decisions based upon the morality and spiritually of the word of God. What is even more frustrating is the number of Christians who do not care about the moral character of our leaders and will vote based upon other ideologies and even the ability to give soaring speeches, as in the case of President Obama . We live in a republic in which we can choose the people who represent us in government. Is it not our duty to seek out a men and women whose moral and virtues closely mirror the character of God?

Those of us who are Christians, had better stand with Israel when she is being attacked.

Have we forgotten Genesis 12: 3

and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”
